Technical Services for Poorest:
Rainbow Nari O Shishu Kalyan Foundation has a strong
inclination towards serving the hard-to-reach rural poor. With this
intention, the organization has already started implementing an
experimental project titled "Financial Services for the Poorest" at a
village in Manikgonj district. The broad objective of the project is to
make further contribution to overall poverty alleviation. The poor who do
not have land or house of their own and who have to live from hand to
mouth and are far away from getting any credit support are covered under
the initiative.
Our organization undertakes various income generating
activities to assist the extreme poor. Moreover, we provide them with
motivation skill development training so that they can become
self-employed. These activities include cottage industry based on
indigenous materials (e.g. bamboo or bamboo cane, hogla, cane, mat etc.),
livestock and poultry rearing, tailoring, nursery business, small shops to
sell retail products and other feasible activities.
